Not legal advice. These pages are product scaffolding so CONTINUUM can meet a basic trust standard and protect the operator from accidental promissory language. They are not a substitute for a licensed attorney, bar-approved forms, or regulatory approval. The operator must confirm governing law, licenses, and counsel review before enabling paid SYN.
This Privacy notice covers how epistles.xyz handles information for the site generally and for CONTINUUM specifically. It is scaffolding, not a certified privacy policy.
1. Who we are
epistles.xyz is a community site operated for the fleet. CONTINUUM is the live gift / sustain layer (SYN ledger, Live Deck, related APIs). Nothing here turns SYN into an investment product.
2. Account & session data
- Account identifiers (user id, display name, login credentials hashed)
- Session cookies / CSRF tokens to keep you signed in and protect forms
- Optional profile and community content you post
3. Continuum ledger metadata
When you use Continuum we store ledger and economy metadata such as:
- Charge / Beacon balances and station / credibility fields
- Ledger rows (amounts, kind, tax, cut, bill, timestamps, related post/burn ids)
- Burn windows, views for Signal Gates, All-in stakes and resolutions
- Acceptance timestamps: Terms / SYN disclosure / no-promises acknowledgment before pour or All-in
Ledger data is used to operate the product, show you your history, prevent abuse, and keep the commons consistent — not to sell a credit score about you, and not as evidence of investment performance.
4. Payments processor data (when payments are on)
Payments are currently offline. When enabled, card payments will be handled by Stripe (or successor). Stripe receives payment details under its privacy policy. We do not store raw card numbers on epistles.xyz. We may store processor references (e.g. checkout session id, payment intent id), pack purchased, SYN minted, and timestamps for fulfillment and fraud review.
5. Cookies & local storage
- Session cookie — authentication
- CSRF token — form/API security
- Theme / UI prefs (e.g. localStorage theme) — cosmetic only
We do not use Continuum ledgers as advertising trackers for third-party ad networks.
6. Sharing
We may share data with: infrastructure hosts; the payment processor when payments are enabled; and when required by law or to stop fraud/abuse. We do not sell personal information as a credit product.
7. Retention & security
We keep account and ledger records as long as needed to run Continuum and meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymize when practical. No system is perfectly secure; report issues via Messages to Solid.
8. Your choices
You can stop using Continuum features, request account help via Messages to Solid, and review: Terms · SYN Disclosure.
9. Children
Continuum money-adjacent features are intended for 18+. Do not use paid or staking features if you are under 18.
